a college or university that is a member school and must work in a student personnel position.

Section 5: Duties of the Officers:
A.  Regional Director

  1. To preside over all meetings of the association
  2. To carry out the directives of the NCCs
  3. To carry out the directives of the National Board of Directors of NACURH (NBD)
  4. To enforce the provisions of:
  1. The SAACURH Charter
  2. The SAACURH Constitution and Bylaws
  3. The NACURH Articles of Incorporation
  4. The NACURH Bylaws
  1. Coordinate the Delegate Grant program as described in the SAACURH Policy Book
  2. To appoint such personnel necessary to fill any office vacated
  3. To represent SAACURH at meetings on the NBD
  4. To perform such duties as described in Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised which include the preparation of agendas in consultation with the SEC
  5. To carry out all other executive functions properly as the Chief Executive Officer of SAACURH
  6. To attend all regional and national conferences during their term of office
  7. To notify all NCCs of any vote made by the NBD

   B.  Regional Associate Director of Business Administration
  1. To assume the duties of the Regional Director if the Regional Director is unable to complete the full term of office
  2. To oversee the preparation and the expenditures of the annual SAACURH budget in conjunction  with the Regional Director
  3. To sign jointly with the Regional Director on the SAACURH account
  4. To keep official and accurate records jointly with the Regional Director
  5. To keep at least biweekly contact with the National Associate of Finance
  6. To attend all regional and national conferences during their term of office
  7. To represent SAACURH jointly with the Regional Director at meetings on the NBD
  8. To distribute copies of the revised constitution, minutes, and all information pertinent to the previous conference within four (4) weeks of any conference attended by the SEC
  9. To fulfill any other responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Director and/or by legislative action of the NCCs

  C.  Regional Associate Director of NRHH
  1. To maintain regular and consistent contact with the individual member chapters
  2. To maintain regular and consistent contact with the NRHH National Office
  3. To maintain regular and consistent contact with other members of the SEC.
  4. To attend the Associate Director for NRHH's mini-conference
  5. To represent regional NRHH interests
  6. To evaluate and determine all "Of the Months" (OTMs) on the regional level
  7. To attend all regional and national conferences during their term of office
  8. To notify all regional OTM winners within fifteen (15) days of selection
  9. To fulfill any other responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Director and/or by legislative action of the NRHH representatives 
  10. To develop a philanthropic theme for the SAACURH region (to be decided on annually by the NRHH representatives at the No Frills conference) and to assist the conference hosts in finding a local philanthropic project in conjunction with the SAACURH philanthropy theme.
  11. To organize, in conjunction with the AD for Programming/SAT, two case studies at the SAACURH Regional Conference.  One case study will be geared toward first-time delegates and the other will focus on veteran delegates
  12. To be in charge of coordinating motivation and recognition at regional meetings and conferences. (NF99)

  1. Regional Associate Director of Programming (NF99)
  1. To develop Programming Resource Packets (PRP) annually per standards designated by the SEC and promote the CRPs on a regional level.
  2. To be a programming resource for member schools who have diverse needs.
  3. To provide any SAACURH member school with information concerning Critical Issue Programming
  4. To recruit and prepare a diverse representation of programming covering a multitude of critical issues for regional and national conferences.
  5. To assist the programming chair at the regional SAACURH conferences with questions on program content, program selection, program scheduling, and program evaluation
  6. To develop innovative ways to increase the effectiveness of programs at regional conferences.
  7. To organize, in conjunction with the AD NRHH, two case studies at the SAACURH Regional Conference.  One case study will be geared toward first-time delegates and the other will focus on veteran delegates
  8. To evaluate the programming needs of SAACURH on an annual basis.
  9. To conduct a program in the advisors' track at the regional No Frills conference to get feedback on regional programming from the advisors attending
  10. To attend all regional and national conferences during their term of office
  11. To provide the Regional Director with a detailed monthly summary of actions completed as Programming.
  12. To fulfill any other responsibilities assigned by the Regional Director and/or by legislative action of the NCCs

  1. Regional Coordinators
1. Affiliations Coordinator
  1. To work to achieve a status of complete affiliation (collection of dues, registration form, and NIC report) of each SAACURH member school by the regional conference.   
  2. To work to achieve a status of good-standing (no outstanding debts to the region or NACURH) for each member school
  3. To communicate with member schools about utilization of the following NACURH services: National Residence Hall Honorary, conferences, and the Resource Files Index
  4. To assist the Regional Director with recruitment of member schools
  5. To assist schools in developing delegations and providing support in terms of travel options for conference attendance.
  6. To attend all regional and national conferences during their term of office
  7. To provide the Regional Director with a detailed monthly summary of actions completed as Affiliations Coordinator
  8. To fulfill any other responsibilities assigned by the Regional Director and/or by legislative action of the NCCs or NRHH Representatives
  9. To fulfill any other responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Director. (NF99)

  2. Development Coordinator
  1. To assist the Affiliations Coordinator with recruitment of new member schools identified through state associations
  2. To coordinate state association participation and activities on the regional level and to serve as a resource for state association leaders and advisors
  3. To work to strengthen the relationship between SAACURH and professional Housing, Residence Life, and Student Affairs organizations
  4. To attend all regional and national conferences during their term of office
  5. To provide the Regional Director with a detailed monthly summary of actions completed as Development Coordinator
  6. To fulfill any other responsibilities assigned by the Regional Director and/or by legislative action of the NCCs
  7. Submit at least one newsletter per semester to state association leaders, advisors, and members of the SEC.  A spring newsletter should be dedicated to transitioning the incoming state officers, a fall newsletter should be dedicated to preparing for the SAACURH conference, state association and bidding for awards and positions.
  8. To serve as regional liaison to corporate partners in conjunction with the Regional Director
  9. To coordinate SEC attendance at the SEAHO Mid-Year Meeting and annual SEAHO conference
  10. To submit articles, biyearly reports and a conference program proposal about SAACURH to SEAHO
  11. To maintain contact information and database for state association leaders within SAACURH

  3. Publications Coordinator
  1. To take minutes at regional meetings
  2. To submit, along with the SEC, as many newsletters as deemed necessary to all member schools, but not less than three. The SEC will determine this number each year. (NF99)
  3. To coordinate updates of the SAACURH webpage through the NACURH server
  4. To assist in the communication between member schools and the Regional Director
  5. To provide the SEC and member schools with an updated listing of all SAACURH member schools upon request
  6. To provide updated NCC mailing lists to member schools prior to the Regional and No Frills conferences
